The coaster are clear so you can see through them. The gray that you see in the background is the table that they are setting on.

Despite all our efforts, coasters may have minor imperfections. Coasters will always have micro bubbles or slightly uneven surfaces. This is just the nature of the resin. Bubbles are very tiny and can be seen when the coaster is held up to light at certain angles. Please keep in mind that colors may be a tad bit different due to the lightening when the photo was taken. We just wanted to make you aware of this before you purchase.

Resin Care:
Clean with a soft clean towel, do not soak in water or clean with harsh chemicals.
Resin is durable but also can be scratched
Limit direct sunlight exposure
Not microwave or dishwasher safe
Do not place a cup with boiling liquid
